1.1 These are the terms and conditions on which we will supply our food and drink to you (our “Items”) and how you can use our website.
1.2 Please read these terms carefully before you use our website or submit an order to us.
1.3 We may revise these terms at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are binding on you.
2. Information About Us
2.1 The website found at www.oleandsteen.co.uk (our “website”) is owned and operated by Danish Bake UK Limited of Fifth floor, 27 Greville Street, London, EC1N 8TN trading as Ole & Steen (“us” or “we”). We sell our Items through our website and in Ole & Steen stores in the UK (our “Stores”).
2.2 For details on how to contact us please see section 13.
3. Our Contract with You
3.1 Our acceptance of your order will take place when we email you with your order number, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us.
3.2 If you do not receive an email with your order number within 5 minutes of submitting an order it means we were unable to accept it. If this is the case we will not charge you for the Items. This might be because we are out of stock, have identified an error in the price or description of the Items or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified.
3.3 Our website is solely for the promotion of our Items in the UK. Unfortunately, we do not deliver outside the catchment area detailed on our website.
4. Delivery or Collection of the Items
4.1 We will not charge you for delivery of your Items.
4.2 If you are in our catchment area (see 3) you will be able to choose a time for delivery in accordance with the options you are presented with. This will usually be a 30 minute slot at least one hour after your order is accepted.
4.3 If you are collecting the Items from a Store you can choose the time and date for pickup of the order. Your order will typically be available within 5 minutes of the chosen pick-up time. In cases where the order is not ready for pickup at the Store you have chosen, we will pack and ready the order as soon as we can after you arrive in the Store.
4.4 If you decide to register on our website you can track purchases you have made through it. Once logged in you will see a digital receipt of every purchase made by clicking “previous purchases”.
5. Price and Payment
5.1 The price of the Items will be the price indicated on the order pages when you placed your order.
5.2 It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Items we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the Item’s correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount. If the Item’s correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order.
5.3 We accept payment with most regular payment cards, such as VISA, MasterCard, VISA electro or American Express. You must pay for the Items before we start making your order. We will not charge your credit or debit card until your Items have been dispatched.
5.4 Our payment partner Shopify Inc (“Shopify”) is responsible on our behalf for security in regards to the payment card information and data you provide to us.
5.5 We will not be in possession of your payment card information, Shopify alone will store and handle it. Shopify stores such information in a PCI compliant environment and your payment card information is stored only as long as it is necessary to complete your transaction. 6. Cancelling Orders
6.1 Please make sure that you are happy with your order before you submit it. Due to the fact that we will be making your order fresh, and the Items are “perishable”, we are unable to offer refunds for orders cancelled on the day they are due for delivery or pick up. The only circumstances in which you can cancel an order is if you let us know by telephone (Find phone number to your local bakery here) by 8pm the day before we are due to deliver the Items or you are due to collect them from our Store.
7. Our Items
7.1 The images of the Items on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display them accurately, as they are made fresh everyday, your Items may vary slightly from those images.
8. Our Liability to You
8.1 When using our website, or when ordering Items, we do not have any liability to you for any direct, indirect, special or consequential losses or damages arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise arising from use of our website or your purchase of Items.
8.2 In the event we are found to be liable to you for any reason our total aggregate liability is limited to the purchase price in your order. This does not include or limit in any way our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. How We May Use your Personal Information
9.1 By ordering or registering on our website you grant us permission to process the data you provide us with for the purpose of processing your order and supplying the Items to you.
9.2 When ordering or registering we may collect the following information:
(a) your personal information and the total amount of Items you have ordered;
(b) payment card information; and
(c) your mobile phone number.
9.3 When a debit or credit card is used for purchases on our website we may collect and process the following information:
(a) the purchases made, including total amount of Items you have ordered;
(b) your ongoing use of our website; and
(c) your purchasing history.
9.4 This information is used in order for us to track your order and to make suggestions and recommendations to you about our Items or services that may interest you.
9.5 Additionally, we may use the information you provide us with for:
(a) collecting anonymized statistics to help us develop our Stores, Items, offers and other business operating initiatives; and
(b) sharing your anonymized information with business partners.
9.6 Data will be shared with our data processors, eg. Shopify as described in section 5. This is solely for the purpose described in this section 9. Our contracts with data processors ensure that personal data is handled in accordance with our instructions only and in compliance with data protection law.
9.7 You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for the purposes of sending you marketing communications. You can at any time exercise your right to prevent such processing by emailing us with “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line or by writing to us at the address above, giving us details of your email address, and requesting to be unsubscribed from our communications.
9.8 You can at any time request access to the information about you that we have in our possession by contacting us at the email address at section 13.
10. Our Website
10.1 We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our website, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
10.2 Where our website contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.
10.3 The content on our website is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our website.
10.4 We do not guarantee that our website, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
11.1 We reserve the right to “unregister” you if your account has been inactive for 12 consecutive months. “Inactive” means that you have not logged onto our website in that time.
11.2 Neither of us shall be responsible to the other for any delay or non-performance of our obligations under these terms arising from any cause beyond our control including, without limitation, any of the following: act of God, governmental act, war, fire, flood, explosion or civil commotion.
11.3 These terms contain the whole agreement between us and supersede all prior agreements, arrangements and understandings between us.
11.4 These terms and any matters arising out of them shall be governed by English law and the laws of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any matter arising out of them.
12. Consumer Rights
12.1 None of these terms affects any of your statutory rights as a consumer.

MARKETING TERMS & CONDITIONS
NHS Blue Light 10% discount
This discount is available for all NHS and bluelight staff who are able to provide valid identification. This offer is 10% off total transaction along with 1 regular size hot drink or iced coffee per transaction, free of charge. A free regular hot drink or iced coffee can only be obtained together with a purchase. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer not applicable on alcoholic drinks or service charges. This offer can only be used for takeaway items and Eat In transactions. Discount must be provided at the time of purchase, we are unable to provide a discount or refund after purchase has taken place. This giftcard can be used as payment at any Ole & Steen store in the UK. Not valid in any stores outside of the UK. Giftcards can be loaded with any amount. Any value will expire 12 months after purchase and any remaining balance will be permanently removed. Giftcards cannot be exchanged for cash. Remaining balance on a Ole & Steen giftcard may be used for future purchases and in part-payment, if required. Treat your giftcard as cash – keep it safe as we cannot return the balance if the card is lost or stolen. The giftcard is not a credit or debit card. Ole & Steen reserve the right to update and amend these T&Cs at any time or to withdraw the giftcard with reasonable notice. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10% local neighbourhood discount terms & conditions
This discount is available at the managers discretion, offering a 10% local discount for businesses selected by the store manager. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer not applicable on alcoholic drinks or service charges. Available on eat in and takeaway transaction only. Discount must be provided at the time of purchase; we are unable to provide a discount or refund after purchase has taken place. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide their discount flyer to the cashier. Cashiers do not hold the responsibility to ask if a customer is eligible for the discount. Subject to availability. No cash value. This offer is non-transferable. Delivery not included. There is no minimum or maximum spend. There is no minimum or maximum party size. Loyalty App Vouchers
Loyalty members will receive vouchers, issued by Ole & Steen Marketing, on an adhoc basis. Each of these vouchers are a one-time-use only. The validity period of the voucher is displayed underneath the voucher itself i.e. "Expires 7 days", which can be viewed at any time on the "Rewards" page, in-app. Once a voucher has expired, Ole & Steen cannot re-issue.
The vouchers themselves will clearly state what the voucher is offering i.e. "Free Regular Hot Drink" and terms are also explained on the voucher itself i.e. "With purchase". All vouchers can only be redeemed in-store if the loyalty app user has 'checked-in' successfully. Vouchers can also be applied at the check-out in the Click & Collect journey. All vouchers are subject to availability and are subjet to managers discretion. Ole & Steen have the right to withdraw and remove vouchers at any time.
5 Gold Ring - Festive Rewards
Campaign period: 30th November - 31st December 2023.
All loyalty members that visit between 30th November - 31st December, will receive a voucher ("gold ring") upon check-in via their loyalty app and a purchase of any value. A voucher can be rewarded for any purchase made in-store or by placing an order via click & collect. Vouchers will be rewarded within 1 minute of purchase, assuming phone has connection to the internet.
Each voucher ("gold ring") will be valid until 31st December 2023. Each voucher can be redeemed only once during the campaign period. There is no requirement to redeem any of the rewards in order to receive subsequent vouchers ("gold rings"). Vouchers are subject to availability. There are no cash or product alternatives available. Vouchers are subject to managers discretion and Ole & Steen have the right to withdraw and remove vouchers at any time.
The vouchers ("gold rings") are rewarded in the following sequence:
- First Gold Ring Any 12oz regular hot drink for £1
- Second Gold Ring Any slice of social for £1 (Cinnamon, Vegan or Mince Pie)
- Third Gold Ring Free mince pie (No purchase necessary)
- Fourth Gold Ring Free festive cake* with any large hot drink (* Hygge Honey Heart, Jolly Snowman, Merry Muffin)
- Fifth Gold Ring 1 x free whole social (Cinnamon, Vegan or Mince Pie)
